Ronin Strength is an online coaching collective started by Khrys for one reason: to improve as many people's training as possible without a drop in the quality of service. The team has grown to accommodate the needs of every single client to ensure you get the coaching you deserve. Since the start of Ronin Strength, the team has seen many successes from our athletes, including many national successes and team wins.

Meet
Khrys Speed

Khrys Speed is the founder and head coach of Ronin Strength. Originally a semi-professional rugby player Khrys turned his attention to Olympic Weightlifting after progressing in his strength and conditioning training.

He has since gone on to win several national medals in Olympic Weightlifting and has recently been appointed as a pathway talent coach for British Weightlifting. Having years of experience as a strength and conditioning coach, he has turned his focus to developing a team of coaches who can replicate and deliver a coaching service that he has poured his heart and soul into.

Khrys’s focus and drive for Ronin Strength is to ensure that lifters are developing, enjoying and growing in all parts of their training to get the best results they can without feeling burnt out.

    COMMUNITY MANAGER

    As the community manager for Ronin Strength, Emily is passionate about supporting athletes and coaches. Her understanding of weightlifting enables her to comprehend athletes' journeys intuitively and ensure they receive exceptional service.

    Emily's role is to create a supportive and connected environment that enhances the overall athlete experience at Ronin Strength.

  • Marcus

    OLYMPIC WEIGHTLIFTING COACH

    An accomplished Olympic weightlifting coach with extensive personal training experience, Marcus brings a nuanced approach to athletic development. His coaching philosophy centres on optimising biomechanics and supporting athletes in achieving diverse training goals, successfully guiding several competitors to national competitions.

    As one of the lead coaches at Fort in Elephant and Castle's Olympic weightlifting programme, Marcus creates a vibrant and technically focused environment that inspires athletes to excel and enjoy their journey.

  • Angela

    OLYMPIC WEIGHTLIFTING COACH

    An international Swiss Olympic weightlifter with a distinguished competitive and coaching background, Angela combines expertise from CrossFit and personal training. Her coaching philosophy transcends technical proficiency, emphasising technique, enthusiasm, and meaningful athlete relationships.

    A Swiss National Champion in 2022 and 2023, Angela has secured a silver medal in 2024 and clinched third place at the British Championships in both 2023 and 2024, bringing remarkable competitive credentials to her coaching practice.

  • BENEDICT

    OLYMPIC WEIGHTLIFTING COACH

    Known as Mr Big Friday, Benedict is a renowned weightlifting coach with extensive experience across all age groups. His comprehensive background in strength and conditioning has enabled him to develop numerous national-level athletes across diverse sports, including Rugby Union, Bobsleigh, and Powerlifting.

    A British Champion across multiple weight categories (102kg, 109kg, and 109+kg), Benedict is celebrated for creating coaching experiences that prioritise both the physical and mental well-being of his athletes.

    POWERLIFTING COACH

    A qualified personal trainer and powerlifting expert, Leah has consistently guided athletes towards their full potential, whether supporting aesthetic goals or preparing for competitive powerlifting. Her coaching approach is underpinned by a profound understanding of human physiology and strength training methodologies.

    With a reputation for designing enjoyable and effective training programmes, Leah creates personalised experiences that help individuals transform their journeys and achieve remarkable results.

    POWERLIFTING COACH

    An international powerlifter boasting an impressive 1000kg/2204lb total and recognised for holding Europe's largest squat in 2024, Mason has established a proven methodology for achieving exceptional strength training results. His expertise extends beyond personal achievements to helping athletes overcome challenges in bench press, deadlift, and squat techniques.

    Mason's coaching is defined by his ability to translate his championship-level experience into tailored strategies that empower athletes to break through their performance barriers.

    POWERLIFTING COACH

    An experienced and decorated powerlifter, Pierre offers comprehensive coaching for athletes at every stage of their strength-training journey. His approach goes beyond technical lifting, recognising that successful training encompasses a holistic understanding of individual athlete needs and varied strength methodologies.

    Transitioning from aesthetic training to international powerlifting, Pierre has developed a coaching philosophy that prioritises personalised strategies and comprehensive athlete development.

    Known professionally as Strong like Steel, David is an established national and international Olympic weightlifter, sports therapist, and coach. His distinctive coaching approach stems from a profound understanding of human physiology, enabling him to tailor each athlete's experience with a truly person-centred methodology.

    David's expertise bridges competitive performance and holistic athlete care, ensuring that his coaching transcends traditional training paradigms and supports comprehensive athlete development.

    HYBRID COACH

    A hybrid coach specialising in diversified training approaches, Esme draws from her experience as a functional fitness athlete and personal trainer. Her understanding of varied training methodologies allows her to create dynamic and adaptable coaching programmes.

    Esme's coaching is characterised by her ability to design innovative training experiences that challenge and support athletes in achieving their multifaceted training goals.
